Hail to the Redskins!

Dylan and I are hoping for a good, "winning" season this year. We don't want to count our chickens before they hatch, but so far so good. Keep your fingers crossed. Washington is LONG overdue! 13 days until I am overdue ... haha! Should we name the baby Clinton or Santana?

Buttons and Colors

In this video Dylan shows how he is learning his colors, but more importantly he demonstrates his fascination with buttons, especially on the camera. He loves the camera so much he gave it a little unsolicited kiss!

Choo Choo!

Dylan has been in choo choo heaven since last Thursday when his Mimi arrived with a new train table and several new trains! Dylan loves "Tommy" aka Thomas the Tank Engine. He can play for hours at a time with his trains. Given that I am 37 weeks pregnant, it is such a nice "distraction" for him that provides me with some downtime and/or time to check off pre-baby-to-do list items.

More Babies ...

This past Saturday, Joanna Nicklas and I hosted a baby shower in honor of Michelle Timberlake in Clarke County, VA. At the moment, Steve and I have EIGHT friends who are expecting babies (five of who are baby girls and three are "mystery babies"). Michelle and Mark are expecting a daughter in the third week of December. The shower was a wonderful autumn afternoon celebration! PS: Congratulations to Mike and Jane who were the first of "the eight" and delivered a healthy baby girl, Emily Grace, last Thursday, October 16th!

Home sweet home!

We settled on our new house on August 15, and moved in the next day. Without the help of all of our friends we could not have done it. Here is a picture of the front of our house. Interior pics to come! We love the location on the corner of a quiet cul de sac. Perfect place for Dylan and the new baby to play!

The New Teacher's Pet!

Dylan went to his first day of school on October 1st! He goes every Monday and Wednesday, from 9:30-1:00. He loves it and has gotten nothing but rave reviews from his teachers Mrs. Page and Mrs. Englander ... he plays well with the other kids, listens to his teachers when they talk to him, eats his lunch in his high chair and is very responsible on the playground. Could he be the teacher's favorite?? He's certainly ours!

Future roommates?

We had dinner with Jo and Jeremy two weekends ago. Jo was Cate's roommate at W&M, and is expecting her first baby. Could the kids be roommates in 18 years??

Pumpkinville 2008

We enjoyed a beautiful fall day at Pumpkinville in Leesburg on Saturday with our friends the Bartletts, Nicklases and Warrens. Dylan loved the haunted bus, hay maze and especially the slides! They were so long and fast! It was a wonderful day for the kids and for the parents.

Wolf Trap Walks

One of the things we love most about our new neighborhood is the close proximity to Wolf Trap Park. We try to go on long walks at least twice a week. It is truly a wonderful place to watch summer change into fall. Dylan likes to ride on top of his sibling ... it is a nice seat for a toddler, don't you think?
